When you think of distracted driving, texting is probably the first thing that comes to mind. But drivers are using lots of different apps when they should be focused on the road. A survey of drivers found that 64% of them said they had used a phone while driving in the previous month.
These are the apps drivers look at the most while on the road, and the percentage of drivers who report using each of them.

Distracted drivers use Google to find destinations, directions and answers to questions.
People use their camera while driving to take photos of signs and scenery and for social posts.
On the road, people use Facebook to post updates, connect with groups and friends and look at news feeds.
Drivers scroll through emails, read them and send quick responses.
With Messenger, people open threads, record voice messages, chat and make plans.
People make video and voice calls with FaceTime, sometimes holding up the phone so they can see the other person.
Like with Google, drivers use Safari for browsing the web to find information. They report typing in URLs and clicking on links.
People scroll and play and pause videos when they are watching YouTube while driving.
Drivers browse, order products and track their deliveries when they’re on the road.
People find McDonald’s locations, place orders, choose their pickup options and redeem discounts while driving.
The report found that younger drivers are on FaceTime, middle-aged drivers are looking at Google and older drivers are checking the weather report.
While Google, Camera and Facebook are popular regardless of gender, men are much more likely to watch YouTube, while women are much more likely to be using communication apps.
